Two years after swag�� became one of three charter members of the STEMM Equity Achievement (SEA) Change program of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the University of California today (May 24) signed up to SEA Change as a system, the first institution to do so.

The American Association for the Advancement of Science has recognized swag�� for its work in advancing diversity, equity and inclusion — and its commitment to do even more.

The campus is one of three universities to receive the scientific society’s Bronze Award certification in the new STEM Equity Achievement (SEA) Change initiative. The awards will be presented at the AAAS annual meeting in Washington, D.C., today (Feb. 13).
